I received my order from Scott's yesterday. I got the Turn One CF airbox and intake, Kyle Racing Clip Ons, and the Eyebrow kit.

I have a questions about the Kyle clip ons: The factory clip ons and handlebar controls have a drilled hole in the bar and a locating post or nub that fits into the hole. I assume this is to prevent the throttle, run/kill switch etc. from rotating around the bars. My Kyle clip ons do not have any locating holes since they are adjusted by rotating the bar forwards or back to change the angle.

Has anyone encountered this issue with other aftermarket clip ons, and the absence of the locating holes? Would it be OK to grind the locating post off? (I really don't want to do this, but I see no alternative.) I also do not want the controls to rotate on the bars. My other option is to drill the Kyle bars for the post, but I would have to drill multiple holes to allow proper adjustment, and that would seriously weaken the bar.

Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks

I have Vortex clipons, and I'm pretty sure I removed the nubs if they were still there. I wouldn't drill holes in the clipon bars, I don't think the the throttle or switches will move after they are tightened.

The clip-ons I have use straight stub bars that fit into adjustable inserts.
So I could drill the index holes and still be able to adjust angle.

After speaking with Scott today, I learned the Kyle bars are solid aluminum. So drilling a 1/8" depth hole for the posts will not be a problem. He said that's what he did.
