Looking to learn how to custom map my bike.

2003, k&n filters, jardine RT-one slip ons and PCIII USB.
I dont have a local shop that i can trust. Also Korea is insane with pricing on anything plus 10% for being American....
I have the proper cord and laptop to look at it. I am just unsure of what to do exactly when it comes to changing thigs around.

The reason for all this is that i am now riding everyday and i now i this wonderful problem with a constant backfiring sputter when i let off the throttle. Now i average triple digits or close too it over here because it is O.K. to do so....
I looked on the dynojet site for a map and none to be found so i guess i will wing it. I am pretty good with my hands but i am not afraid to get input and learn so i am hoping someone here can help. thanks...

I would NOT go messing around yourself with out knowing what you are doing. I know in the cage world, there are tuners who can do custom base maps through email. You need to list your mods, what octane fuel you run, elevation ect... I'm sure there is someone who can do something similar for you.

You could probably find a map on power commander's site and import it into your unit.
But it still would not match your bike or conditions exactly.
It may be close but not spot on.
The only true way is to put your bike on a dyno and custom map it.
Then you can export that map and save it in case anything happens to your unit.

I guess i will have to ask around for a shop with a dyno around here. Just starting to meet people but im sure someone knows something..Thanks sub...
