Nobody uses a rear fender?

I bought my bike without one. It isn't my favorite look, and I've always had other things I could spend 180 bucks on for the bike. It does suck trying to keep the underside clean though.

I dont think they look that bad.I just dont want rocks and crap kicking up on my fender eliminator because there not cheap either.

No they don't look that bad. Personal preference I guess. I did see a red one and a carbon fiber one earlier this week on ebay. I think at least one of them had the chaingaurd attached to it. Have fun shopping for your bike. I know it's my favorite pastime.

OPP has one that looks nice, also World of Carbon in the UK, and Magical Racing in Japan as well. All are carbon-fiber.
All run around $300 though.

Check OPP's web site. They make some of their stuff in fiberglass as well.
Would be a lot cheaper. And you can paint it any color you want.

Usually everybody (including me) who spent big bucks on carbon pieces will not dare paint them.

You can use a hugger from a CBR 600RR. It requires you to drill a small hole on your swingarm, but so do all the others anyway, and this mod is way cheaper.

Although drilling into a perfectly good swingarm goes against my nature, however mine already had one installed when I bought the bike.

It's not a perfect fit, but works ok.
You may need to notch around the hole just a bit on the hugger for the brake hose clip anti-rotation nib to fit for the SP2's.

I don't see where it does a very good job of preventing dirt from being slung onto the shock, but it does add a bit to the appearance.

I felt the same way about drilling into mine. Especially after I had just spent two days polishing my swing arm.

But, on the plus side you can't really see the hole unless you actually point it out to someone. You also have to put a couple of spacers on to clear your tire properly. I made a pretty good looking spacer out of an aluminum bushing from a skateboard wheel I had. That and a couple of wellnuts and I was good to go.

I actually have a silver carbon fiber CBR600RR one on my RC. I think I paid a little over a $100 for it brand new, I also got a silver weave chain guard to match all for less than the cost of the purpose built hugger. I did want the one actually made for it, but $200+ was a bit rich for my broke A$$.

If you can afford it, definitely go for the purpose built SP2 one, but in a pinch well you know make do with what you got.

I have a hugger that I'm looking to get rid of.
Its from Magical Racing in Japan. I had it made out of ABS to help keep the cost down. The only thing is it has a slight damage that could easily be painted over and be very hard to notice. I'll attach a picture...if I can.
If you would like to buy it, shoot me an Email.http://i60.photobucket.com/albums/h24/kaboiz/hugger2.jpg

That's a nice looking piece.
Magical Racing does really nice C-F parts as well.
The chain guard portion seems to not extend as far as the stock part.
Is that true or is it just my perspective?

dunno about the length of the chain guard.
I never compared it to the stock one to see which one was longer.
I don't have the RC anymore, so I couldn't even find out.

How much do you want for it? My only concern is enough room for the rear tire warmer. I might be able to use washers/spacers to set it up off the swingarm a few mils and get the clearance needed. Any thoughts?

Magical Racing Huggers are the best by far for any Honda bike! They cost a lot but, they are the best you can get! And they don't chip up like a lot of carbon fiber huggers made here in the US! Here is the link to buy direct from Japan http://www.moto-works.jp/bikes/index.html Also try http://www.exoticsportbike.com/index.htm They carry a lot of choices for huggers for the 600RR. But, I think you will like the MR Huggers better...

Yes they do! But their style of huggers are a bit out of style from US demanding motorcyclist! The Magical Racing carbon fiber products are just Superb!!! The rest of their products have been tested by motorcycle magazines officianadoes! the German Polizi use their side mirros! Regarded as the best in the world! Cycle World did a review on these mirrors & found them to be irreplaceable!!!

I thought I might throw this manufacturer in there. Being that the exchange rate is what it is, and these prices are Australian dollars, well...
I've had plenty of their stuff before, and it's very well made. U.V. stabilised and all!
Their website: http://www.geelongcarboncraft.com.au/
The SP2(RC51) linky:http://www.geelongcarboncraft.com.au/store/cart.php?target=search&substring=sp2
I don't know if they ship to 'your side of the big pond', but it's worth the question if you're keen...
