Hi, I have a sp1 roadbike and I'm thinking of buying a salvage sp2 and make a racebike. What is the average price for a salvage sp2? The things who needs to be ok is the frame, engine, swingarm and fork. I'm most likely going to buy from a site like www.carfrom.us

I paid 4700 for a 2003 with low miles. Usually salvage is approx $1000 less than a clean titled bike. (Usually!)

Of course this depends on if the bike is drivable etc... Your call man.:cool:

I just bought a 2002 SP2, 11k miles, with salvage title. I was going to make it strictly track but am considering a second set of plastic just to be able to put some road time on it before track days. I paid $1700. It needed the stuff I was mostly going to replace anyway. From the crash it needed, top and inner fairing, right headlight, left clip on, one tank dent removal, side plastic is repairable. While in insurance storage both rearsets, all brake lines, rear master and reservoir, both exhausts, PCIII and rear pass pegs all went missing.

Runs strong. Other than the custom rear exhaust brackets for the new Scorpions and custom sprockets being built, all it needs is new plastics and tires and she's ready for testing. :)

I just bought a frame :) just need a swingarm and engine. The rest would have been replaced anyway.
