A very nice SP1 you have there.
Do you ride it only on the track or also the street?
Any modifications you have done to the bike?

SubSailor 01-22-2009, 02:21 PM I agree. All three Euro color schemes were nice.
But the red one was especially hot.

sr2-e 01-22-2009, 07:37 PM I build one for me 2-1 exhaust with Akrapovic for the racetrack at the moment.
this gives a right sound.
SubSailor 01-22-2009, 07:47 PM Why not the Akrapovic titan full exhaust?
It is very light weight, only 6.3 Kg complete.
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 08:03 PM this costs too much money.
I build it alone. this is the fun to this.
I have a used Akrapovic exhaust bought.
my gramatik probably is not good?
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 08:11 PM it must many RC51 drivers give. and then so some little in the forum?or it has further RC fora in your large country.
SubSailor 01-22-2009, 08:18 PM This is a new site so it is still gathering riders.
It will grow over time.
A very good site with much information is:
http://www.speedzilla.com/forums/honda-sport-twins/
I know this site is used by Thorsten Durbahn.
Another site is:
http://www.fireblades.org/forums/honda-rc51/
These are the 3 sites I most visit.
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 08:21 PM I know Thorsten Durbahn. He is a known tuner.
Perhaps I meet him on an Ivent.

Yes the Akrapovic is expensive.
I bought mine as a special sale.
I would think it would be cheaper in Europe.
The 2-1 exhaust tend to make less power than 2-2.
But at times the fun is the project and not the finish yes?
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 08:31 PM The 2-1 exhaust tend to make more power by high rotational speed.
from 7000rpm-10000rpm.
What I need this on the racetrack
SubSailor 01-22-2009, 08:45 PM How is the performance of your Duo-tech?
I have not yet checked my Akrapovic performance, but my Jardine 2-1 had 116 HP at rear wheel.
It made more power starting at 6000 revs onward.
Allen03RC 01-22-2009, 08:56 PM On the subject of exhaust. What would be the better to buy? I was also looking @ FMF....
Anyone heard any good, or bad on it?
Hey Sub check your PM's
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 09:06 PM @subsailor
Dou Tech have a similar volume like Akra .
I had 124HP at it behind bike last year.
However, this was it before I reorganisation the air box.
@Allen03RC
2-2 are good in front of RC51.
more Print in all areas.
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 09:10 PM We have the German RC51 year 2000/2001 SP1 for 132 HP originally.
We have the years 2002-2006 SP2 for 135 HP originally.
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 09:19 PM you can me understand, what i say?
I learn this speak always improve when I am online here.
Please, they also give me corrections, thank you.
SubSailor 01-22-2009, 09:35 PM Were the European RC51 allowed for 10.000 revs?
In U.S. RC51 soft rev limit at 9250 and hard limit at 10.000 revs
U.S. RC51 '02-'06 made 116 to 125 HP average at rear
What airbox mod did you perform?
Did you change out the front intake snorkel?

The general consensus is that the stock head pipes are very good for the street, and a good pair of slip-ons is all one needs for good street performance gain at an affordable price.
Probably the best slip-on's are the Sato low-mount.
They make very good mid-range torque and good HP.
They are also in the higher price range of the slip-on pipes.
I think that one buys what one can afford and not worry about dyno figures for the street.
Unless you lose significant torque or HP it's all relative.
The only reason I went with a full race system is my bike didn't have a stock exhaust when I bought, so I would have had to buy all the stock pieces and fasteners in addition to the slip-ons, and that total price was close to what I paid for the Akrapovic I have now.
Otherwise I would have sprung for the Sato's.
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 09:59 PM look 1.photo (http://www.vtr1000.de/forum/showthread.php?t=42582&highlight=tom1+umbau)
They remove the front area and filter replace it with "no Toil".
This wire network not forgotten.
The mixture gets lean through this.
This should be adjusted with PC III as well as wideband commander.
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 10:05 PM 10400 rpm, the speed's delimiter then comes.
The red area is 9500 or 10000rpm.

I do not fully understand.
You do not use the front part of airbox and replace with screen filter?
Or screen at front of airbox replaces filters?
No use of intake snorkel for ram air?
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 10:25 PM Snorkel remains .
flupper can be removed.
"No Toil" is a screen filter. you understand me?
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 10:33 PM the front arrives again.
I understand you.
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 10:39 PM they look then understand reorganisation (http://www.vtr1000.de/forum/showthread.php?t=7394&highlight=airboxumbau)
SubSailor 01-22-2009, 10:46 PM alles klar

original 7L.

SubSailor 01-22-2009, 11:09 PM How much HP increase on dyno after airbox mod?
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 11:17 PM approx 10HP to crankshaft to 140-142HP
sr2-e 01-22-2009, 11:21 PM I must go sleeping.
It's 05:19AM in germany.
