Great pics, thanks for posting. Don't suppose you made it down to the Cherohala? You'd probably experienced some snow in the higher elevations there too - we ran it last year about this time, and it was pretty tricky, all layed over in a curve and suddenly there's a patch of snow ahead - dead center in your line. Weeee.

Yep - unexpected gravel in a curve gives me a "pucker moment"
everytime. That and the accumulation of sand that always lingers
on the road days after the snow has gone. Hate that stuff, but at
least you can kinda anticpate there's gonna be sand somewhere
after a snowfall, at least down south - they seem to use more sand
here than road salt.

Hey Pushover, sweet ride, Where did you try to get on? Waynesboro? I've been Jonesing to ride mine, but I have to contend with mud on my dirt road, and gravel, my 'Vette, RC, Mustang, and CBX still sleep. I Was thinking of taking out my Honda XL 600 R Enduro though! My son and I in warmer times:

Hey Pushover,
Great pics. I own both of those bikes but my R1 is an LE. It still doesn't compare to the RC though!:D
