Anyone from around the Sacramento area want to ride this weekend?

You want to come up this way, or do you have some good riding near you? Cause we're about 1 hour apart. I know several good rides that are within about 15 minutes of my home base in Roseville. I'm right near I-80 and Hwy 65.

I agree with the heat issue so early is better. Down here the only thing close by is Del Puerto Canyon in Patterson which is a good ride but can be scattered with gravel as it is in a rockslide area. Looking at the map I can see you have better options. Pretty excited to see and ride with another RC.

Well, let's ride up here. Lot's of different choices. It will be Sunday, 9/11. May be a lot of radar goin on out there, I don't know. But I think I know a few roads that will be fun no matter what. There are the obvious runs, that law enforcement know about, then there are the other more remote roads, that just dont get that much use...

I talked to another forum member, that rode Hwy 36 a few weeks ago with me. It looks like we'll be crossing trails on our ride tommorow.

And a big thanks to Shonuff for joining me today on what I would call a very worthy ride. We went Downieville then on to Bassett. There we met up with Thor, who I rode hwy 36 with a few weekends ago. So the three of us rode back to Downieville, and on to Dobbins before parting trails again.

Thank you, John and Thor. I got home about an hour ago and after sitting on that seat all day I am glad to take a break. Just FYI we did about 370 miles of twisties. My odometer read 460.1 and I started it at the shell station and subtracted the 90 miles it took me to get home. We should do this again, fellas.

That picture was in Downieville. Population:288 Sunday is a busy day there. Go during the middle of the week and you're lucky if anything besides the gas station and bar is open. Aside from mountain bikers, a few tourists, and a lot of motorcyclists passing thru, there's no other commerce really.
Sure is a beautiful mountian town though!

Same to you Rick. I took Jose on another twistie session once we got back to auburn. We did Clemintine, and Salmon Falls.

Plenty of time left this season, I'm sure we'll ride again!

Nice meeting you too, Rick. As john said, we have the time to do it we just need to get something together hopefully with a couple more RCs.
