I have a 2000 rc with a mind of its own! I went to get it out of the garage tonight and my instrument cluster went completely out along with my taillights. Weird combo and you would think unrelated as well but im stuck! If anyone could help me out on this it would be much appreciated!! Btw.... All my fuses in the box on the side of the frame are good.

There is a main fuse in/around the battery box too. Check it too.

Did you pull the fuses out and check? Sometimes those small fuses are difficult to check on the fuse box.

Sue did, pulled all the mini fuses and checked. Also pulled the seat and checked the main fuse as well.

I am dealing with the same problem rear lights and cluster out. Replaced the 10A fuse for that circuit and its fine. I can find any issues with my wiring. I believe others have had this problem and I am thinking the only active component in that circuit is the turn signal relay. I am going to run it for a while and see if it blows again....something caused it to blow in the first place.

I’ve Had both those issue happen.... couldn’t figure it out for the life of me... took it to a shop, they said my battery terminal leads were loose.... and I haven’t had the issue again... May not be your issue but worth a look.

I have no direct experience with this issue and RC51s, but I've seen vehicles with bad grounds do strange things. Check the battery terminals and then the chassis and/or motor ground.

Thanks for the input guys. Got it figured out. Had some melted wires in the rear harness. Ready to roll again!!
