That Hawk engine is ENSHRINED within the frame of my wife's beloved HAWK. A pristine motorcycle with only 16K on it! That bike, like the CBX, and RC 51 are keepers!!! Just love that Hawk, that little bike scoots!!!!!

My Hawk only has about 5000mi on the clock.....about 3000 track/race miles. Too bad it went BOOM about 5yrs ago and has been sitting in my basement ever since.

However.....a friend is trading me a very low mile hawk motor for a set of rearsets this weekend. Then that motor, along with my superbike heads and X8 cams are of to JWracepart for a bit of a rebuild. Then I have to decide to race it again or turn it into a streetbike. It would be nice if I can get back to the 70hp it had before the rod went.

I hear you, those bikes are one of the best kept secrets of the '80's/90's, our
bike is nearly stock, the bike was upgraded with parts from a racer friend at my bike shop when he switched to an SV650 as his race ride. The bike's front end has the race-tech shock emulators, he was also offering an ohlins rear shock, but he wanted $700. used for the setup. A little pricey for a hack around bike.

All my other bikes have been snapped in some old-school format called 35mm, then printed on something called paper, so I'll have to scan them up at some stage.
The only one I can post up here was the last bike I owned before the SP2, my VTR1000 Firestorm (I think you all call them SuperHawks?). One of my very few regrets in life was selling her. She was modded just how I wanted, and we shared many great times. I know the new owner is treating her right and all, but I miss her.

i think you live a absolute stunning place!!! it´s almost brings a old cynic to tears :), i mean it!!!!, if i lived there, i would just enjoy the scenery all the time, on or off bikes, i´m sorry i have to be so daft, but US states, are a bit unfamiliare to me, Va? is that Virginia?, i have to see that place!! i funny thing is that i have been to california twice, in 08 for a race and in 09 with the breadknife (wife) and after last trip, i said to the wife, well no more California for me, it getting boring, i wan´t to see the east side of US (sorry to all Cali readers, my boredom migth have something to do with my host over there) so next time i´m going to see VA, a bit of a trip from Denmark:):):):):):):)

I've sold my CBR600RR 07 and just keep the RC51 and the VFR 800 02, If I had to choose only one bike it will be the VFR just for comfort and smooth drive but will try to have my 2 bikes as much as I can..................:cool:

The VFR1200 just doesn't do it for me. I just don't care for it.

The two Ducati's were mine but I sold them last november when I bought my house allowing me to get the 1000RR and RC51 and my wife some nice furniture and decorations. Hondas are the best anyway tho I do miss the duc's they drew a lot of attention!

Well my wife bought me the RC while I was on deployment and im still there so I havent ridden it yet. THe 900RR all done up and the 1000RR stock are VERY similar, the XX is ma baby so I gotta say her. Shes faster than the 1000RR and with all the ohlins and lightening she handles well!

I havent taken any of my bikes to the track since 2002. I used to club race a 600F3 until 2001

This is my 1999 4XV Yamaha R1 I bought it about 4 years ago with 1350 miles on the clock now has only about 6500 miles, Just love the look.
Put a Hotbodies undertray/tail and got the wheels sprayed the same white as the bike.

Here's my '08 Yamaha FZ1S I bought early this year.
Will be doing a few mods on it when I'm done with my RC51.

Thanks man, I had pretty much every DP part I could find for it on top of Ohlins and Marchesini 10 spoke mags and well lets just say a load of dough! I miss it but no matter what the engine was disappointing, same with the PS1000LE. My SV650's seemed to have more power.

That's not just a plain old Monster, that's an MH900e. Very different animal other than the engine.
