What is the viscosity?
Over the years I've used many different brands of motorcycle oil, but I've stuck with Mobil 1 10-40w motorcycle.

The 10-50 looks like it might be alright on the RC51, but it's like using the v-twin oil from Mobil, geared more for cruiser twins.

Oils are subjective. Mobil 1, Castrol (which is what I use), Maxima Respol etc... all are decent oils for the RC51. I run 10W40 due to the weather in Indiana...20W50 for someof the warmer climates.

Stay away fro, "Big Twin" oils if it were me. (Unless its a stripper with a bottle of baby oil....:p:D)

I change my oil at closer intervals than most so Castrol is just fine for me.

..remember, our RC51s have a wet clutch that is bathed in engine oil. Some Harleys have a separate oil supply for their gearbox. "Big Twin" oil usually does not have the right friction modifiers to be compatible with our RC51 wet clutches.

Stick with Motul, Maxima, et al.
