That's right folks, I just picked her up today. Now it's true that you get what you pay for so I'm in need of a few parts and hope you guys can help. The bike has NO exhaust...not even headers. So at this point I'll take anything, even a stock setup if I can get my hands on it cheap. The other damage (well the story I got) is from a battery tender that was connected to the bike caught fire. So the front plastic and left headlight are melted. Along with a broken footpeg on the right side. Other than that, the bike appears good to go:D Oh and btw the bike is a 2000.

I am coming from a 2003 SV650S that I dropped and the isurance company totalled out.

By the way, what year headers will fit on the 2000? I see a couple on ebay but it says it's for 2003 and one for a 2005. Thanks in advance for any help

Check with 1999Spyder and see if he's got the exhaust system or at least the head pipes.
You can then buy a set of slip-ons.
Also see if he has a upper cowl complete with headlights as well.

The exhaust ports on SP1's ('00-'01) were round while the exhaust ports on SP2's ('02-'06) are D-shaped.
The SP1's cannot use some systems that make use of the D-shaped exhaust head pipes.
Try to get the right pipes for your model range.

congrats... how about replacing the light with a carbon headlight cover? i saw someone on ebay having a carbon piece to cover that. would be cheap to put on plastic till u get a new light....just suggesting.

Yeah a new one of them is about $153 plus S&H.
I know, I had to replace my right one.

There's 3 of em on ebay right now with $60 buy it now prices.

Oh yeah and from the looks of it you probably wanna think about a new chain !!!

I have a factory right footpeg and the factory slip-ons if interested let me know. The bike looks to be in great shape except for a few small problems-I would say that you got a great deal.

Thanks for the offer on the factory slip ons and foot peg but i have the factory slip ons paid for from ebay along with some aftermarket footpegs. I'm about to look for those headlights but if you could pm me links that would be great.
