hey all, I'm brand new and am going to pick up an 01 RC51 this week. the bike is immaculate, has a power commander and carbon exhaust system. I forget the name of the manufacturer of the exhaust. might be Leo Vince??

anyway - I have done some reading and I need everyone's info on temperature. I have read that they overheat. I am in central ca where it is going to be 108 degrees in the summer and I plan on riding it every day.

am I going to be in trouble with the temp?

No over heating issues on the 01 RC..........17,000mi worry free miles on my RC.

ok here it is. I picked it up yesterday. 13k miles, power commander, Leo Vinci exhaust, galfer brake lines, airbox flapper removed.

it was 92 degrees yesterday. On the freeway I was running around 190 degrees, then sitting at the stoplight it went up to 219. Is that what's expected? The manual says 251 is where the overtemp light comes on.
