New 51 Rider

Just bought an 04 Nick Hayden edition. 7200 miles on prestine condition. Not my first sportbike but it is my second. My other bike is a 07 CBR600rr. Its a nice bike just lacks the character the 51 has, plus it sounds like a pissed off sewing machine. From what I have seen lately alot of people of are getting rid of their 51's, cant see why they would. I have put 10k miles on my CBR in the last year and have ridden a saki vulcan 1500 classic since I was 16 taken all the rider safety course. Did I rush too fast into getting an RC51? Should I have waited a bit longer before getting one?

People buy and sell bikes for various reasons and preferences.
It sounds like you enjoy your RC51 but are regretting the decision.
What may be causing second doubts on your part? Just curious.

Mostly my damn chain of command is what is causing it the most. They are all crying cuz I bought a 1k cc twin instead of just sticking with my 600. They keep saying "you are gonna kill yerself and crap like that." Its the navy being overbearing like a very possessive mother. Other than that I love the bike and get up in the middle of the night to start it up. Puts a smile on my face everytime.

Right, they want all your bits and pieces in one place so they can send you somewhere to get shot at...which is much safer . 1000cc bike has nothing to do with whether you live or not, you can kill yourself just as easily on a 600cc. I would also argue that given the design and nature of the RC you're better off with it than pretty much any other sport bike. Keep the RC, it's a great bike.

This last week I also purchased an o4 Nicky Hayden. It's my second bike also. Going to pick it up this weekend. My first bike was a 03 cbr 600RR and while the cbr is a great bike it started to feel small very quickly. From what I hear you really can't go wrong buying an rc51 they are amazing bikes.

Ive riden all types of bikes(especially being in the industry) but the RC is the first twin Ive owend and I love riding it everyday, except when stuck in traffic bc the sucker is like riding an oven, lol. But once you get moving and get used to the bike its awesome and I will never sell it.

Try riding a Buell XB series in traffic.
The fan ducts the air under the seat and out past the shock.
That really toasts your nads in the summer.
