From 99 R6 to 05 RC51 SP2

...Hello guys, i'm just new here in the forums and i'm a fan of the RC51 the first time i saw the SP1 on a showroom here in Philippines....I recently sold my trackbike 99R6 after i fractured my hand on a spill at one of the racetracks here...I spent all my time looking at the local classifieds here while recovering and i stumbled at last with a very fresh 2005 SP2 with only 8000 kms reading...Oh boy, i was so delighted i called the seller of the bike and sent my friend mechanic/racer to check the bike....Here she is, i'm planning to pick her up next week after my flight right from the airport in Manila and ride her home with a backup truck.....I hope i can close the deal this weekend for there are other buyers inquiring...

Yeah that's a clean SP2.
It appears the owner took care of it, which is a good sign.

Thanks guys for appreciatin', i can't wait to take her home I'm just wonderin how it's going to be in terms of handling this bigger bike in traffic or in the track. I'm from a lightweight inline4 R6, i got used to the riding style of throttling the gas throughout the corners unlike in superbike riding as they say that you have to be in the apex before gradually opening the gas. And that's inline 4's, this is a Vtwin...one way to find out,RIDE....

...I've noticed it has polished wheels, do they come like that on some models?

"Git 'er done!" Don't think they came with polished wheels but I could be wrong. Lots of cosmetic changes done by owners as to wheels so.

Duct tape can't fix stupid...but it sure helps muffle the sound

Nope. All RC51 wheels came powder coated black.
