I did. That's the nice thing about fiberglass, if you make a mistake, just sand it out and try again. I was going for the endurance tail look but my plexi glass/ lexan fabricating skills are lacking a bit so i just left it open. I think it cleans up the tail a bit without the OEM square lights. Installing maybe a CBR brake light set up in a fiberglass tail section would not be very hard either.

Well done sir! i may have to start playing around with fiberglass myself.. however it will be some time before i can get a tail that looked that good. but thank you for sharing!

Thanks. It really is not that hard to do at all. I got the lights off of eBay then it was just a matter of cutting the holes and re forming it with fiberglass. Then sanding then re glassing till I got it pretty close to where I was wanting. I still will probably wet sand it..... well maybe not. It just has a rattle can paint job. It was not to bad. If you were standing up close you could tell but from 5 to 10 feet away you probably would not notice. And then there are always stickers to hide any mistakes right.

My next project is a KLS shifter. Unfortunately I can't seem to find any used here in the US so I'm in the process of buying one directly from KLS.
