2 birds with 1 stone

dunno if any of you guys remember, but a few months back i handed my rc to my mechanic and one of the things he pointed out (among other things) is that there is a little movement in the rear wheel that is down to a suspension bush or something similar.

anyway, i handed my bike to a rear shock specialist to get the shock serviced, was gonna do this a while ago but never got round to it. when he got the shock off, he noticed that the prev owner (once again) didnt fit it properly and where the shock connects at the rear, there is a spacer/washer missing and thats whats causing play in the rear wheel.

plus, when he took the shock apart the oil was mega dirty.

so, now the bike feels awesome, no more play in the rear and my after market maxton shock is as good as when it left the factory.

im a happy man today, i just need to get this fan switch changed over, fix my idle adjuster and tidy up the bodywork a bit and ill have myself the perfect rc.

I fitted a Maxton suspension in the 1990's to my VFR (Which I still have!) and have never wanted any other suspension on 2 wheels since.
Ron Williams may be retired now but they still do excellent work, incl. a lot of race suspension for IOM and other championships.
I got a GP7 for my SP2 & sent them my forks to be reworked, then they sent it all back to Japan. You're lucky they're not all that far from you!
