I am back, If you missed me(Or Not)

Thank you for all members , that sent concern...
A month ago, the local power transformer that is connected to the house, a shop. Discharged, and exploded. The discharge fried all wiring in the house, and shop. And any componet connected(Flatscreens, computers, etc)
In the shop- The motor on my Bridgeport mill, and lathe are welded.
And you question- Why did the breaker panel not stop the destruction, Welded...

So, with enough of my "ATTORNEY'S MUSCLE"... The insurance company, and power company, have attempted to jump through hoops to resolve the all of the destroyed.

I am sure that some componets can be replaced-( The Harmon Kardon tube amplifers, tuners, Velodyne speakers)

Life goes on..
My apologizes to any member, I have left hanging /on communications.
Stopping at McDs for a wi-fi connection.. sucked...

Thanks again..

Glad you are piecing things back together with your friends

Invest in copper rods about 6ft x 3/4" and drive them into the earth. Ground your machines to these it will protect them if some craziness happens again.

Good to see you back! Duckhunter had mentioned to me on PM what had happened, but I hadn't realised to just what extent. Motors welded on a mill & lathe, Harmon Kardon Tube amp... OMG!! It sounds like every electrical thing you had in the house became burnt toast in an instant and now you have to live in a house that's being rebuilt / remodelled!!

Amidst all of this you were sending me pictures of spare parts you had from McDonalds so we could sort out a deal and checking postage costs to get parts on their way for our project. You're a true gentleman, sir!

Glad to hear you are getting compensated. Hope you get it all sorted with minimum hassles now, anyways.

The shop is wired 240/3 phase. And the Power company was contracted to wire and ground two years ago.. I will suggest that when the company begins on the wiring in the shop.

Yes I was wondering where you went. Sorry you have to deal with all the dramarama! That's a freaking upheaval. I hope things work out, you know, the silver lining of the dark cloud.
