Your favorite gloves?

There's a favorite lids thread elsewhere, how about a favorite gloves thread?

I have owned way too many gloves to recount, but a couple stand out as the best. My favorite feeling and fitting glove would have to the Alpinestars GP-Pro gloves in black/white that I bought new in 2009. The fit is great and the feel of the controls is excellent. They withstood a nice little accident in 2010 and required some repair, but are still my gloves of choice on the street.

I also owned a pair of Held Phantoms at the same time which were my primary track gloves. I'd say they were even more protective and substantial all around. The kangaroo leather literally felt like a second layer of skin and stingray features made them seem that much more exotic. I lent them to a friend for a trackday who, of course, tested their ability to protect on a 70mph lowside and they did wonderfully.

The next glove I would like to own is the Knox Handroid. I tried on a pair once and they fit perfectly from the get-go.

Another vote for the Held Phantoms. They are my absolute favorite gloves. The fit and quality is top notch and I feel very well protected wearing them. I am planning on purchasing a second pair to use at the track.

Do you guys use these gloves on the track primarily? Or are you wearing these on the street too? I guess I'm just having sticker shock at seeing the price of the gloves mentioned so far being in the $230+ range.

I only ride on the road. Though that doesn't even matter. You cant put a price on being as safe as you can.

Why spend say $6k on a bike and then spend $50 on riding gear? Only my opinion

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm with you on the safety aspect. Just sticker shock like I said.

Got them as a gift last season, I have said before I'm still up in the air about them. I love the fastening system so easy to get just right...the exo skeleton on the fingers is a little hokey.

If I had to do it again I would go with the Biomechs a little cheaper same protection and fastening system but no gimmicky exo skeleton.

Fit is not bad I have short fingers but my palms are wide and thick, also my fingers are like bratwursts. So they are snug across the palms.
