The bike was well maintained by the previous owner, it seems. Time is always in short supply, so we're just doing what's essential rather than adding un-necessary stuff. Plus powder coating's not so easy to get done here. We'll only be 100% sure the frame's good the first time we ride it, in the event it's tweaked (doesn't look like it at all, but never know for sure) we'd have to strip it down to nothing then anyways to get it repaired. Most of the damage on the swing arm's where the chain runs anyways... which won't be so visible.
