A raven with red I have seen too myself and I liked it.
The black RC's would pull off the reds I think also but as for the other yrs I prefer gold or silver.
2000-2005 have so much going on color wise the red wheels make them look dark and heavy.
IMHO!

No Novels!

Fricken GOLD battery!

I am in the process of painting a set of aftermarket wheels and they are going go to be satin black. I thought about other colors and the only other one that was even in the running was graphite. Red would just be to much for me.
I agree that that the high contrast wheels look nice I just do not think that I would be satisfied over the long haul.
The high contrast wheels also require more cleaning. Black looks cleaner longer.

I would have to disagree, The 2005-2006 Blk RC-51s are perfect with the blk wheels.. And red wheel would down-play the SINISTER of the black RC51s.
Now I like CapeRC's red, yet not matching the "Victory Red" color would look more proper. and expensive (standox paint, only company that produce the color)..... I like the idea myself.. and have a set of SP2 wheels striped for the 2003 Red RC51.

I didn't notice the Black bike as pictured myself , but I would stick with black wheels although the gold machi look sweet , as maybe a gunmetal powdercoat color . I purchased my ride with the rims as shown . I looked @ a few SP-1s with those same red wheels . I would say they were OEM if I had to guess

light or bright colored wheels show dirt and grime quicker which tells you to clean your wheels. that's usually brake dust which is caustic and needs to be cleaned off. i am thinking red or gold wheels for my '06.

Don't get me wrong I clean the bike rather frequently, but those days you don't feel like it black/dark wheels are a welcome break.
