Hard time finding boots (us 13-14)

I'm in the market for a new set of road boots and could probably use a replacement for mx boots as well. The issue I have is I don't like buying a pair of boots without trying them on first, and there aren't many opportunities to do this when you need a 13 or 14 (47-50 euro).

Is there anybody else in the same situation? Has anybody with larger feet found an exceptionally comfortable pair of boots they can recommend?

I have weird duck feet, they are wider than they are long...finding riding boots wide enough is my issue. I'm wearing Sidis right now but I wore Alpinestars for years. They tend to be wider than the Sidis but I love my Sidis.

Good luck.

I'm in that process right now and have found the Alpinestars to fit very well. I'm a 14, and feel your pain finding shoes...

Where did you order them from? Many vendors don't allow this without a restocking fee.

I shipped the Cortech back to Riders discount, because they came apart when I put them on at the first time...I called them ..and toll them that I refused to pay the shipping back...they send me a shipping label ...I got the Spidi XP3 from Revzilla....and them other boots I ordered them from Cyclegear...had no problems with returning them.

revzilla and motosport have great return/exchange policies, gear selection and prices. Phone them and discuss what you are looking for and for sizing. They sell a ton of stuff and know gear well. They can help you a lot in selecting the right size and in options and are happy to help.

I tried the S MX-1, and it was very comfortable, plenty wide, correct length, and surprisingly lots of cushion in the sole. Only problem I had with them and the reason I didn't take them home is there is no way to tighten the top of the boot, and they fit comfortable but loose. I happen to like my shoes rather tight on my foot so they can't move, and these fit a bit more like a comfy loafer. Fit fine, but just not secured like they meant it.

So, I ordered a set of CR-4 Gore-Tex XCR as they lace all the way up, and I like the way they look. They should be in maybe today, so I will post up how they work out.
