Hello all, I'm new here and thought I would introduce myself

Hello all!

My name is John and I just joined the club. Last night I picked up my first RC51, 2004 Nicky Haden addition with just over 11k on it. It is pretty stock (has a different wind screen and some other cosmetics) and is going to need new fairings on the right side due to the man's wife not being able to fit her car in the garage properly (so I was told).

Anyways, if there is any noob advice on if there is something I should look out for that is out of the norm or any quick tricks that can save me frustration please feel free to share!

Tarnished Tank.

Welcome, Junda.
May we ask why you're looking to get a new fuel tank ?
Or are you looking for an Abrams M1 tank ?
Either way, please post pics of your ride, blemishes 'n all.
We're all visual freaks here.
And let us know what part of the country you're enjoying your new ride.

Take Care.
P.S. Thanks for posting the 'Spy vs Spy' picture, Jondog9

I'm in Florida and I have a nice dent on side of my tank, I'm usually a freak when it comes to buying clean bikes but for 3400 I couldn't walk away from this one

Cloverleaf Consternation.

Thanks for the reply, Junda.
I feel your pain because I pretty much have the same situation here in Riyadh.
There are some twisties 45 mins. away, but with an undivided road & the way traffic is around here, I wouldn't ride the way I did in the States. And the roads in Riyadh are like glass. No kidding.
It's the bike I'm worried about, not myself.
I'd hate to see it get a scratch.
If your bike is in good mechanical stead, then you got yourself a screamin' deal.
Take Care.
P.S. Take some pics & post, when you've fixed the cosmetic stuff.
