what's this for?

this is one of the fasteners that hold the seat cowling on. anybody know the purpose of this other that holding the cowl? it is a bit strange looking. it reminds me of the lugs sticking out of the Franenstein monster's neck.

beware, common sense is not so common.

I've never understood the use of these bolts. If it's a race bred bike, why on earth would they consider bolts to strap things to???

They were put there to install bruises on the insides of passenger's legs, so the ol' lady won't want to go riding. Always more fun 1-up than 2-up.

Whatever I lack in HP I make up for in just plain ol' crazy!!

They are "shoe lace catchers" designed to prevent idiots from riding the bike.

Easily replaced by using the same bolts that fasten the lower portion of the side panels and the front fender.
