Whats your favorite Helmet Brand

I've got an Icon Alliance helmet it fits nice but its noisy. I guess you get what you pay for. What do you guys like as far as functionality and comfort.

It really depends on head shape. Your best bet is to go to a dealer and try several brands. I have a shoei head myself. And yes, when it comes to helmets you do get what you pay for

Tommy, Icon helmets are not all that bad looking but they really do suck for wind noise. I have an aria corsair/rx7 and that made my ride a bit more enjoyable. If your in the market for a new dome piece, I'd suggest picking the top brands. If you want to solve your wind noise situation, perhaps some earplugs could work. FWIW i still use my Icon domain, but only when I'm cleaning the liner of the aria though.

I have an Icon airframe and the noise is a little much, but it's still in good shape so I can't really pull myself to get a new lid just yet. I think I'm gonna try a modular next, though. I commute to work everyday on my SV650 and a modular seems like the practical option. Been looking at the Shark Evoline3 and HJC RPHA Max.

If you have a $50 head, you can wear a $50 helmet. If your head is priceless, you wear an Arai.

I have an Arai, that's all I'll wear. I'd make an exception for Shoei, but that's it.

Whatever I lack in HP I make up for in just plain ol' crazy!!

my current lid is a Shoei GT Air. it's pretty nice, but not as quiet as i would like. before that had a Shark RSR which i liked a lot. I was looking at Arai this time, but went with the Shoei because of the integrated sun shield.

beware, common sense is not so common.

If you don't like wind noise stay away from modular helmets. Wind noise doesn't get much worse than with a modular helmet. Of course a brain bucket or no helmet at all would be worse but just sayin.

I've had every shoei x series since the x-8 to the x-11 all awesome helmets and each model got better and better. I've also had arai quantum, rx7 both great. Suomy gunwind was pretty cheap feeling. I'm now using arais latest corsairV and it is the single most comfortable highest quality helmet I have ever had in my hands although I would like an x12 by shoei I still wouldnt trade now after using the latest corsair

Arai Corsair V is tops in my book , Shoei X-12 very nice as well , I still like my Arais better . I never tried a AGV . I wonder what one of those would be like or even a Nolan ? Anyone have one of those to comment on ?
