Thinking about a S1000RR

So, I have really been on a S1000RR kick for awhile now. Problem is, I can only convince myself and my better half that I only need one sport bike at a time. I do love my RC51....but I think this BMW is the fuuking business

Does anyone here have experience with them? I know BMW makes a fantastic sport touring bike but I have no experience with their dedicated superbike. All I have heard is they go like a banshee

I've ridden a couple...hella fast, actually stupid fast. My issue is it's not a Honda or a twin. But like I've stated before if I'm going to cheat on my baby it's with this lady.

She's not a twin...but pretty darn close.

I have always been loyal to Honda for the most part but I have never been loyal to v-twins. The Rc51 was my first v-twin sport bike. I do enjoy the v-twin but it isn't a must for me.

I really like the RSV4 but the price tag is a bit steep. I also have been considering a 2010 R1 Rossi edition. There is one local at a dealership with 700 miles on it. I dunno, just thinking it is time to upgrade. I haven't driven the crossplane r1's either and have heard they have similar grunt that a v-twin has

I don't know about the BMW, but I can get a 2010 used RSV4 for under $10000

Wow, that's a good deal considering what they are new. Buy it

I did a test ride on a 2012. It was insane power compared to the RC. Felt a bit lighter also. I just don't need that much bike and I'm in love with my bike. Super fun thou.

Agreed, You can buy new units a couple years old around this price. Talk to gts455, he has owned the BMW before.

Ditto Mb. Hopefully gts455 will be along. He's owned, rode, and sold his S1000rr.

I only have track experience with the s1000 and it's a beast!! I personally like the rsv4. It's less expensive as well! As I've found very few BMW dealerships that will deal much.

I love the new bikes...but I'm just at a point where I don't need all the fancy electronics or that much power any more. Great bikes but mine doesn't owe me anything and I just don't want to finance a "new" bike.
