Exhaust question?

Hey guys just bought my first RC51.
It came with Hindle high-mount Ti exhaust.
Won't work because the wife enjoys a little rip once in awhile.

So I ordered the Hindle low mount mid-pipes.
Got them today, tried to install them the brake side is good but the shifter side is not even close to fitting. No problem I thought I'll just throw on the stockers. Much to my suprise the shifter side won't fit?

Is it possible a previous owner either modded the headers or maybe put on a SP2 header?

Any help would be appreciated.

I will throw up some pics in a minute.

Thanks

If your RC is a SP1 it is very possible the previous owner did the SP2 exhaust mod to accept the current exhaust setup. Hard to say without looking but it sounds like you need SP2 mids

This is the giant gap on the shifter side?

Considering I have no experience with the SP1 I do not know for sure. Someone will chime in shortly who can confirm our speculation.

Have you tried loosening the left side header pipe and rotating it? Maybe that will help?

Call Hindle and ask them if they ever manufactured a high mount mid pipe for an SP1......high mounts for SP1's are actually somewhat rare, and it is very possible the previous owner swapped his headers so that he could have a high mount system.
