Does it detect Lidar or laser, cause that's what most cops are using now? Rader is going the way of the dodo bird.

It detects whatever your radar detector detects

Meaning...this works with multiple detectors. My passport does radar laser etc...

Radar and laser - or Lidar - are two entirely different technologies. That's why I asked.

Thanks Bill Nye for the science lesson

It only transmits your detectors signal to a wireless receiver on your helmet. The little led attached to the receiver gives a visual aid as apposed just an audible alert. I cant hear a damn thing when i ride!

I hope you're not dissing Mr. Nye.

I get it now. I didn't realize it's just an accessory.

Party on Garth!

I have been a member of radardetector.net for many years.

Detecting lidar is a waste of time as the band is so narrow. Once your detector goes off with a lidar alert it is too late you have been targeted. However it is legal to jam lidar as laser is still administered by the food and drug association. There are effective lidar jammers out there but be ready to spend some coin. And just for the record, the valentine 1 is arguably the best detector you can get. Beltronics/escort makes some very good top end products as well but the cost is over 400 dollars.

Sorry for the rant, got excited

I'm just going to coat my bike and gear with radar/laser absorbing paint.....stealthy. Lord knows you'll need it riding with jd9.
