Bad day...

Well I just got off of the phone with my buddies son...he's on the way up the canyon on one of my favourite roads the Hope/Princeton Hwy.

Not on a bike though...with a trailer to pick up his dad who just crashed his bike. Dangit, I talked to him last night and said this week is all about my son who is home with me all this month. I also bitched at him that it was a long weekend and to stay away from the roads as too many tourists in RV's on that road on a long weekend.

But he didn't listen...I'll post some pics when I see the bike.

Anyone have any body parts for a 1999/2000 ZX9?

I'll keep you guys updated...sorry btw he's fine just a few bruises on the body and one big one on the ego.

This is it...damn

The most important is that he is ok

Make a list of the parts you need and I'll see what I can find

Thanks guys...I talked to his son and yes he's as good as you can be considering the crash. Banged up and bruised pretty good. He checked out clean at the hospital but the bike has not failed so well.

Some pics...

Brand new Shoie X12 is toast...as least it did its job and saved his life.

Money well spent I might add......hope he recover fast from any wound he has, especially the ones inside.....those hurt the most I believe.

I am watching the ZX and I feel that the cost of repairing it will probably reach the same as buying another bike......have you assessed the damage apart the fairings?

I think I see a bent subframe there......gas tank is expensive too, at least where I live.

I don't know........what you guys think so far?

That looks about as bad as I pictured it after you told me about some details regarding the crash.
Not gonna be a cheap rebuild. I have got 2 good wreckers here, I'll give em a call tomorrow as I am off work.
Nice lid well, it was anyways.
Wish your buddy well for me and a speedy recovery.
