Attention getter

Well, I know I've always been drawn to the RC for the look and sound, but apparently others are as well.

I picked up the bike and while driving home I stopped at a few places. At least twice I had people come up to me asking me to start the bike so they could hear it run. Then I had to drive around with it in the back of my truck for a couple days as I needed to take it to the BMV for inspection for plates and title transfer. Same day during those couple days.

Then today I ride it for the first time. Park at work at the receiving area. As I'm at the front desk the guard looks at me and says 'wow, you weren't kidding, look' and then shows me that one of our vendors is standing there taking pics of my bike. LOL Told me the guy was walking by, did a double take, then whipped out his phone.

What are some of your stories? I'm sure I'll have more as time goes on, but I can't believe how much attention these things get.

Dear Penthouse this one time I was on my RC51 and an entire team of NFL cheerleaders noticed me and got so hot and bothered that the entire parking lot was covered in moisture. They all took turns screwing my brains out before calling their little sisters to come finish the job because I had over-exerted them to the point of exhaustion and they could not continue. It was awesome. The End.

Sometimes He slams the RC more than a die-hard Harley rider with ape hangers.

I love the RC, I just don't feel the need to blow smoke up each others ass and pretend it is something that it is not like the rest of you all do.

The RC is one of the most gratifying bikes to ride quickly. The reason it is so gratifying is because it is not a good handling bike, it is not light, it was not competitive with sportbikes from its own time let alone current model bikes and further adding insult its race heritage is a joke considering it does not share one single bolt with the HRC race bikes that were used in World Superbike, AMA racing, Suzuka or Isle of Man etc... Sure they are fun bikes with a cool gear drive whine and properly cared for are mostly bulletproof until the engine gets some miles on it then those huge slugs start making the cylinders egg shaped. It's just hard for me to praise a bike with so many shortcomings because I see it as it truly is not as how people want to pretend it is. No you do not have the same bike Colin Edwards won the World Championship on. No your RC51 is not going to appreciate in value like an RC30 or RC45 and No you are not somehow automatically in the cool club just because you own a piece of what you think is exotica. The RC51 is no MV Agusta or RSV4 in anyone's mind except your own
