The European models for 2001 was available in silver, like in the picture, or the same red as in 2000.

I have never seen a blue RC, except for that image, which looks like a bad PS job based on the silver one methinks.

The blue does look like a PS job.

I do better PS jobs ... guy with a Kawi C14 wanted to see what his bike would look like in camo:



I also gave him this unsolicited version ... Buwahahaha!

ive seen a few of the silver ones in the UK. im not a fan. but never seen the blue before

The silver is real. Only released in Europe, i actually have a tail cowl off one. I remember reading it was a "anniversary edition". nothing different about it other then it being silver.

The silver was released in some countries as a "anniversary" or "limited" edition in 2001. I think it was a way of getting rid of the remaining SP1 before the SP2 came out by offering a more subtle colour option in an attempt to widen the potential customer base.

I choose a silver 929 over a 954 because I loved the colour scheme so much
