Sproket change/speedo healer question

Hey guys this morning I'm changing my sprockets from 16/40 to 15/42 190/50 and installing a speedo healer V4 as I don't have a GPS handy does anyone kno the percentage for this change so that I can calibrate the speedo healer, I've been searching online and all I can find is -12%

I run at -11%. All thing same except I have a 190/55. I'm thinking you'll need -12% to -14%.

Orig 16/40 = 0.40
New 15/42 = 0.35

(( 0.40 - 0.35 ) / 0.40 ) x 100 = 12.5% ... and it's negative since 0.35 is less than 0.40.

No need to consider the tire diameter since no change to it is being made.

I think this is the way to calculate it.

Hey man I'm puzzled after I installed the device , 1st I went online to healtech and used there online calculator my indicated speed was 81mph but my gps speed was 70mph so the % was 13.6 to enter I did ..then verified it again wit 2 of the same GPS and the speed was accurate until I got on the highway it's was off so I lower the from 13.6 to 13.1 and now my indicated speed is 80mph and my gps speed is 82.6 also my odometer is reading .5 lower then actual mileage , as read by the mile markers on off ramps , 16/42 190/50 chain slack within specs .. Plz help

I don't know if something's wrong, but +/- 2.6 mph at around 80 is pretty good ... that's gonna be +/- about 5 mpg at 160-ish, which I think is as good or better than most OEMs. But yeah it would be nice to be say +/- 1 or 2 at 150.

I think you meant 15/42 in your last post?

Use this app...works pretty good and I compared my bike to a cop friends radar...pretty much spot on.

Very easy to use and when your done use this app...

Makes setup and programming pretty much idiot proof...
