A deer and RC51 meet at 70mph, who wins?

I was just trawling through my photos and came across the pic's of my SP1 in 2006 after a small run in with a 4yr. old buck at 70mph, how do I know it was 4 yrs. old?
The front fairing had three holes in it and one in the center of the speedo where the deer's head it the bikes lights and fairing. How do I know I was doing 70? I had my face crammed down so friggin tight into the fairing to deflect the deer I could see it clear as day.

I didn't drop the bike, and the duck tape is from the nice Calgary Fire Dept. to help me ride it home, but they wouldn't let me tape the deer to the back of the bike, odd.
Anyway it nearly cost me a new Soumy extreme R as once I stopped the bike and noticed the deer was lying in the middle of the road trying to get up I walked over to it and was about to beat the shit out of it with my helmet when I realized I was already going to be out of pocket for the damage to the bike, (the deer didn't have insurance) $2000, so beating it to death with a $700 helmet was a bit silly and the people gathering around might take offence anyway. The nice paramedic lady asked me if I was ok, I think she was checking to see if I had a head injury by my response to her questions, but when I said "no, I'm not F*ckin ok, the deer just trashed my RC51" which I thought was a valid response at the time, she smiled and said "I think your OK"

If you look at the seat you can see the speedo with the hole in it.

Anyone who says RC51's aren't built to last I say bollocks

Ouch that must have stung just a bit...I hate to thread jack 8igstu since you're rather close to the west coast did you ever ever make the Sportbike West rally in Kelowna/Oliver BC? I seem to recall quite a few folks from Alberta. It ran from 1993 to early 2000's and it was the craziest wekend of riding and bench racing for years.

I met a lot of folks from Alberta/Saskatchewan and a tonne of folks from Montana/Idaho and a couple from Utah.

You would have loved it. Btw glad you walked away from that chance meeting with the deer.

So easy way, on most websites you can:
right click on the image you want
then click properties
copy the address (URL)
paste it in the message
then type [img] at the front of the link
and [/img] at the end
