Rear Signal Options

I recently put Proton signals on the bike, and it got me wondering if anyone has ever tried using Protons for their rear signals? Would they even fit? I have been doing searches for rear signal options and the searches mostly consist of under-tail kits. I actually really like the look of the stock tail lights, - I think they look retro - and would like to replace the rear OEM signals without an under-tail kit. Does anyone have any pics of replacement rear signals, and/or information on which brands would work? The rear signal mounts appear to be different. I would really like to replace them with Protons, but any input would be appreciated, thanks!

I also like the retro look of the stock tail lights...I'm running these just cheapie eBay turnsignals.

They work great can be seen at all light levels and keeps me under the radar with the local Leo's.

Stig, I love how your exhausts look. They are so tight to the bike. Did you have to make modifications to the mid pipes in order to get them so close to the bike?

2010 Triumph Scrambler (sold)

You know that you can purchase an aftermarket CBR1K taillight that has embedded turn signals built in it's I.C., don't you?

They emit very bright light actually....

Thanks gibonater. It's an original HRC kit exhaust, very rare and unobtainum unfortunately...
Fortunately though - there is the HRC Ladybird, which is even tighter fitting. I was very impressed with how well it was made when fitting to Carlos' bike. It doesn't have the hydro-formed bends as on mine and is a bit smaller diameter but it's exquisite. So much so I'm tempted to buy one and put mine on the wall somewhere. I shouldn't really be riding the bike with this HKR Akra kit on.

Makis, I know..... Carlos' bike has the tail light you describe. But I don't like how half the brake / tail light disappears temporarily when the indicator is on. I prefer the brake light to be blazing bright and the indicators to work independently. Also it's what's required for legal testing when shaken time comes around every 2 years...

I love the way that looks. Using the Watsen's through the tail plastics is a great idea.

Thanks extrapolator. It wasn't by choice, as the previous owner made the undertail (very well done as he had access to professional equipment to bend aluminium sheet perfectly) but he then put on some horribly large (but legal) indicators. So I just improved on his version by fitting Watsens that are much less conspicuous & whilst I was at it also replaced the cheapo Ebay monstrsities I had fitted to the front This was a few years back now...
