rc trade?

This is probably going to get me stoned by the village but here it is. My neighbor has a 04 zx12 that is very clean and has quite a few tasteful mods done to it and he approached me with the idea to trade bikes. It would be an even swap. My 51 is also in excellent shape and its really something i wouldnt normally even consider. I love my bike and have had many awesome rides with her. Its such an amazing motorcycle. Im torn what do u all think seriously. Judging by the size of the z compared to the 51 it doesnt seem that it would handle as well but i dont know that much about the zx12. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thats kinda what i was afraid of . I dont want a dragbike i live in Tn and love the twisty stuff. I didnt buy the rc cause of its mindblowing power and top speed, its just a well rounded package of speed manuverability and badass sound. The z just caught my eye because its been so well taken care of. And the carbon fibre

the z is a solid bike, and a pretty unique one as well. not as special as the rc, but up there. its not quite a drag vike but you will lose some of the handling. it is fast as hell tho. so its your call really.

IMO based on where you live and your described riding style....you will get the poop end on that stick. The ZX12 is a monster...no doubt...and very well sought after, but I don't think it is worth trading away your RC51 for it. It took me months and months to find a good RC for sale......Better yet, trade with him for a weekend...ride it and see what you think, cuz at the end of the ride you are the one that needs to be happy

Garage
After riding the dragon I really do not think I will ever trade my RC off. I was wanting a Blackbird but if I found the right bird I would never trade or sale her off. I have an old VF1000R sitting in the garage and my gf wants it gone. Well you all know what I told her the bike will stay and she can go LOL........... Bikes are my love and well I've been through two marriages LOL need I say anymore LOL
Bottom line DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2004 RC51 with multipul mods
1985 VF1000R SOLD 😭

Well, i thought about it and i cant bring myself to do it. Its a really nice bike but i cant imagine having the same amount of passion for the z as i have had with my rc. It would be one of those things where i would seee him on it and wonder, what the hell was i thinking!

i had a zx-12 a while back and i lived closed to great mountain riding..prior to the z, i had a few gixxers and would ride all the time on the twisty's..for some unknown reason, i bought the z and grew tired of it fast..really quick machine, but just doesnt feel right trying to take corners like a typical 1000..i wouldnt do it if you really enjoy good mountain riding..just my opinion and experience
