I would check the switch itself, I assume there is a relay to check that too.

Have you held the hi Beam bulb in your hand and inspected it. Some after market types will not work and fry when connected. Looks like cotton candy in there. You have to use specific bulb ranges. Check cycle world on line for a quality application in bulbs. the right quality aftermarket brand will work like daylight. No skin contact on bulb surface either use clean rag or glove.

I looked at schematic. Green wire is shared with low beam bulb and Hi, and blu/bk is shared from headlight relay to both Hi bulb and on to cluster. Blue wire goes from headlight handlebar switch to relay. Blk/red goes to fuse and engine starter switch. Either relay is bad or problem with handle bar switch is possible. Any other probs with handle bar controls?

Try swapping the hi-beam relay with with flasher relay to see if the relay is bad.
Many of the relays on this bike are the same type.

Usually it's opposite where the hi-beam relay is used to troubleshoot other relay problems (signal, tilt sensor, etc.).
