First ride two-up on the RC

Morning all,

Took the ladyfriend on a nice day ride yesterday, the weather was absolutely beautiful and we had a great day, but we affirmed the obvious, that an RC51 is not intended as a 2-upper.

She's an itty bitty Japanese girl, so the bike didn't even realize a second person was present, but the huge gap between my seat and the passenger seat meant she spent most of her time wedged between the two seats with her butt on the hard plastic, and leaning most of her weight directly on me as she tried to reach the fuel tank with her arms. She's a trooper, though, and instead of complaining insisted that we find a second, more comfortable motorcycle for day trips. I think I should keep this one around

2006 Black Edition SP2
- Stickerless black...giggity
- Assorted stone chips
- Multicolor bug splats, updated weekly
- Custom boot scratches and crash marks on the tailpiece
- Scuffed bar weights & brake lever from asphalt acrobatics
- Road grime under the fender and tail
- Leo Vince exhaust
- Otherwise OEM, not gonna make BOTY any time soon

^Bwahahaha...thats funny.

Took my wife on a few rides with the RC. On the SP1 with Mori High Mounts she was miserable...terrible riding position. In the SP2 with the LB and regular riding position she was much more comfortable...but said it was too loud . Just remind your lady she has to put a little effort in being a passenger and use her legs to prevent her from sliding forward a bit.

Enjoy the next ride

I always ride with ear plugs hand her a set of those, anything over 85db will damage your hearing which is usually right around 75mph ish...

I have my girl place one hand in the small of my back and the other round my waist or pushing the tank. You can buy a strap that goes around your waist like a belt with two hand grips on either side not sure if it's any good but the idea seemed sound to me.
