Summer Riding Gear

Hey guys i was looking for some advice to help me decide what kind of summer friendly gear i should get since i've decided its too damn hot in Georgia/Alabama to be wearing a full jacket and pants but i need something before i go down and get my ass skint up lol, I've been looking at the Alpinestars Bionic Pro Jacket

With maybe or some kind of hard knee brace and my SMX 2 boots but i cant find any shorts with armour in them? any advice?

I have an A* GP Air mesh jacket. It works great for the NC summers.

this is what I wear when it's real hot. it's by far the best venting but no leather to protect against things that go poke.
Dianese - about $175.

Geisha Gear.

Whazzzuuup, Ricky B ?

I've ridden in 55+ Degrees Centigrade (pretty HOT in degrees F), in Riyadh & I'd recommend that you start by wearing 100 % polyester upper & lower undergarments. Full sleeves & full length lowers. Even my underwear is 100 % polyester. Get a polyester balaclava & your helmet & face will thank you for it. Get mesh jackets & pants. And I wear Sidi ST Air boots & can actually feel the air hit my cotton socks inside my boots !

Academy Sports & Outdoors & Ross also may have the above mentioned garments in the Sports & Men's sections, respectively.

My gloves may or may not be perforated. I don't notice a difference there.

Hope that helps you just as much as it has helped me, here in the desert heat of Riyadh.

Take Care & Stay Cool, Ricky B !

+1 for the proper undergarments.

I have a set of the hot weather ones made by Starter. Available a Walmart for about $25 each, no need to spend the big bucks for motorcycle purpose made ones.

It makes a huge difference when wearing them. Even in full leathers I can feel the cooling effects of them.

Ditto James and Atif!
I get my stuff from REI. Probably a little more than Walmart, cause personally I hate Walmart.

I like my teknic gear. Their mesh jackets and matching pants breathe well and are durable.

I have perforated full leathers (Mostly white) and wear a full mesh undersuit. Still hot - but not too bad if I'm riding at speed. If in town, I tend to wear a mesh armoured jacket.

The heat is part of it but in the southeast the humidity stays around 80-95% so that on top of 100' days equals sweat fest lol
