Will there ever be a SP3?

I remember a few years back there were rumors of an SP3 being developed and someone had posted that Dan Kyle already bought domain names rc61 or sp3. Any Rc gurus have any info if Honda will ever make another v twin sportbike?

Yes they have renewed their trademark name for the RVF and I believe a patten for a new motor that rumor is a 1000CC V4. Do a google search lots of rumor about a 2012 release of a RVF1000R bike that will be 2-3 times the price of the current CBR1000RR

yep the BMW is almost paid off....which means NEW BIKE. hahahaha maybe, it's starting to get out of control, i'm really tempted by the Triumph 675R that thing makes a sweet trackday bike.

Well I have nothing but honda liter bikes... I woulda bought the VFR1200 if it was better than my CBR1100XX but after a test ride it felt like less a bike so I couldnt justify the 14K for it.... im really kicking myself in the ass too for not jumping on the RC45 that was for sale here locally. Some kid bought it when stationed in japan, was getting deployed again and put it in craigslist for 4500. I set up 2 appointments to go see it and was on the fence then finally called and said I was getting ready to deploy so id have to pass, then a week later I changed my mind and called him and he had sold it... oh well... ill find one at a good price some day or ill just have to bite the bullet and drop a grip for one.

Given the current economic climate, I doubt we'll ever see anything like the RC45 or even RC51.
At most, you'll see the same old I-4 with different colors.
All the manufacturers are reeling from the "great recession".
Plus the I-4 layout is very easy to package in the chassis.

Honda did add 6% mass to the crankshaft mass in 2010 to soften power delivery as a response to Yamaha's cross-plane crankshaft.

I would love Honda to develop a modern affordable variant of the RC45, bit I doubt it will ever happen again.
The CBR1000RR is nice bike, but it doesn't thrill me like a well-tuned V-4 or V-2 does.

Oooooh. I'll wait 5 years till they depreciate and enjoy the RC51 in the meantime and let someone else take the loss, just as I did with my SP2
