Bike made a CRACK then Nothing.

Today I rode my RC51 and came into a curve when suddenly I heard a crack and then had no power and the bike refused to restart. Any idea?

If your RC51 doesn't bring you to your knees, you are not a righteous man...lol.

Does it crank over when you hit the start button?

Do you hear your fuel pump primes?

Do you have spark on the plugs?

Does the engine have compression as it should?

Lights are on but no crank. I have to get the bike tomorrow with a trailer to do more diagnostics.

I don't think the fuel pump is priming.

Start with the main fuses on the starter relay and the solo one on the battery's lid.
Check the fuse box too.

I'll definitely get on that tomorrow. First I have to haul it home.

What I am thinking happened is that the front fender dove down far enough while heavy breaking that a electrical connection got knocked loose that supplies the power to the engine.

Front fender doesn't have anything to do with the electricals on the RC.

Did you check the rest I mentioned above?

Looking up the schematic it shows an ignition wiring switch/connection on the right front. I am betting that is what happened. The thing is that I was in a hurry to get to an appointment and had to leave the bike where it died (at someone's ranch). Today I will go there and see if I can fix the problem. If that doesn't work, then I will have to trailer it. But to trailer it I have to take about 5,000 lbs of wood off first....ugh.

Yep, yep that's what it was. The ignition switch on the left front came undone. Bike is running great again.

Certainly looking forward to more clarification on this one.

Glad you're back on the road, brother man.
