Fuel Light pt. 2

Hey gang,
I noticed on my ride in this morning that if I get to 7200 - 8k RPM's my fuel light that is constantly on goes off. Could this be due to a loose connection ?

Could possibly be vibration is causing an intermittent problem.
Wouldn't hurt to check the connectors, plus putting a dab of dielectric grease on the contacts to prevent corrosion/oxidation of the contacts.
Also, be careful when you lift the fuel tank as the main wire harness passes very near the tank and has caused many a pinched or broken wire.

Thanks Sub....that makes sense. This all started right after I got my plugs changed, so I suspect there is a wire that is pinched.

If you mean 7-8000rpm acclerating hard, then it could be the fuel is forced to the back of the tank, the level sensor is then not reading low level for a few seconds.

yep, happens to me on all my bikes. One way to tell for sure is if it does it after filling the tank.

Problem solved....it was a pinched wire. Guess I will take the money I was going to use for a Fuel Pump and use it someplace else.....
