How many miles before rebuild?

I am looking into buying an 01 RC51 that has 23,000 miles on it and was wondering on average considering average user maintenance how many miles will one last before having to rebuild? I know it all depends on the user and care ect..... but how many miles is it before most people have to rebuild their motors? It has never been stunted or raced just a commuter bike from what the guy has told me.

I have just seen a lot of CBRs that year model like 929's advertising as having rebuilt motors. I know they are two totally different bikes but I was just wondering how long on AVERAGE they last. Cause I have no idea what this bike has been through.

V Twins last FOREVER. Keep up with scheduled maintence and motor checks and it will see 100,000 easy and still run perfect. I4's do not last nearly as long. You cannot compare the two, because they are complete different motors.
V Twins operate at lower RPM's and do not peak as high as I4's, which puts a lot less strain on the motor.

Mine currently has 70,550 miles on it and the engine hasn't missed a beat (that I can tell).

The only servicing it gets is a new oil and filter.

Exhaust packing sleeves between the various exhaust sections need replacing every year (they seem to melt down to wire wool) (not the silencer packing material) but nothing has needed doing in the engine itself.

If I remember right Sub has the 100k RC.

But now having one and fullly knowing what the RC is...I would buy another on with 50,000-60,000 on the clock as long as its been maintained properly.

No, mine only has around 40K miles.
The 100,000 miles pic was from another RC51 owner.
The 3rd owner of the SP1. He just sold it to the new 4th owner.
It's the EveryReady bunny. It keeps going and going....
