What action cam do you use

I put a friend's older model GoPro on my bike at the track Saturday and had fun using it. I am looking forward to seeing how the footage comes out when he posts it.
A lot of people put them on their bikes at the track I've never really had any desire to till now that I used one.
My question is if you use a action cam what kind, where and how do you mount it?
I know GoPro is the go-to standard but I'm thinking about getting the Sony hdras30 or 100.
If anyone has any experience or input on action cams it will be appreciated

I have a GoPro Hero 3 Silver edition. The quality is great, if you can find a discount on GoPros I'd get one, but if you don't want to break the bank, I think you have the right idea with a Sony action cam. I think you can pick one up brand new for $100.

If you have someone that goes with you to the track, you could go this route:

My brother has one and we were messing with it this weekend. They are really cool. You could get MotoGP helicopter type shots with this thing!!

GoPro (Hero 2 HD) Motorsports kit (the older gen cam) - it works just fine for my needs; mounted at the front of the gas tank on my bikes when I feel like recording stuff.

The Sony hdras 30 is $200 and the hdras100 is $270 right in line with the GoPro white and silver edition.
I wouldn't think they would let you fly a drone around a racetrack. I wouldn't want that around me.

iOn Air Pro 3 with Wifi so I can watch myself ride LIVE as I'm recording on my phone + the anodized blue case goes well with the bike too!

Good camera, and cheaper than the Go-Pro but does the same, I also use it skiing down to -30 with no issues.

You watch yourself ride as you record You sir are living on the edge

I just bought a used GoPro ($100 from a guy at work)...and so far so good. Hero3 White...plan on using it for the second time this Sat at Miller.

Currently only one mount on the front nose fairing, but plan on doing a tail mount to critique my body positioning.

Make sure you add some cushion to help reduce the vibration....it makes for terrible video if you don't.

Veho Muvi HD. Haven't used it yet, but couldn't argue with the price, it was a freebe from my Polaris Rewards. Waterproof to 180' so I can shoot movies while diving, but the GoPro does that too. If I was buying it would be GoPro.

Duct tape can't fix stupid...but it sure helps muffle the sound

I have a second hand Gopro hero2. I think when it comes to battery power it is better then the Gopro3(+). Although i'm jealous about the wifi preview function on the 3..
