Back On

Whats up everyone, back from overseas finally and settled in. Ms. Piggy is on the road and enjoying every minute of it.

A few questions....... How do i switch shift pattern from stock to gp on the 03 rc? i spent and hr trying to figure it out and no luck yet. And recently, ive noticed that my front right fork seal is leaking; should i go aftermarket or replace both seals for now? Thanks yall!!!

first off welcome back

second here is some part numbers

Here are the part numbers

Honda OEM Reverse shift lever (GP Pattern)
24701-MAT-000 SHIFT, GEAR PEDAL
24781-KR3-770 RUBBER, SHIFT PEDAL

Additionally these part numbers are to make a 00 gp, so double check to make sure before ordering

and third, what kind of riding do you do? Mainly street? track? etc, that should mandate if you want oem or upgrade

As for the forks depends on the riding and honestly your budget. Suspension is very expensive. if you do trackdays its worth doing aftermarket, if its just a streetbike and you don't it the twisties often....i'd save the 1000 dollars and just have the seal replaced and fork oil changed.

Thanks Idrivetoys.. I ride all street, i switched my gsxr to gp shift a few years back. i prefer it over oem. Honestly i really need to get on a track and learn more. Ill look into the part #'s. Thank you for the info sir....

Noticed some of your mods for the 03, what is the PAIR mod and Flapper mod? (just bought my RC last year) any other tips or mods i can look into? I plan on doing the soft rev elim here soon.

cool. just make sure you have the fork oil changed same time, save some money and honestly its probably never been touched unless the forks leaked previously.

Be sure to use Honda OEM fork seals. Stuff like Allballs don't seal properly - I found.
