For that price you may as well buy a full size racing boot...they look well made though

Hey man how's FL? I got my name in the the hat for another ATRD.

I have the a* smx-5, really nice boot, good air flow and not to bad to walk around either.

maybe im wrong but i dont want to walk around in a full height boot, they just dont seem comfortable at all

and since i dont do any full blown track days like VIR and what not there isnt a huge need for it.

As for florida james, its awesome down here, the water is warm, the beaches are nice i just wish the bike and family could enjoy it with me.

on the plus side to being alone, i have already gotten two loa's, i was pinned a few weeks back, and im testing out for black belt this friday and im one test away from possibly honor grad.

Im headed your way shortly, i check in at cherry point on the 5th of july and grad the 23 of september. Still waiting to hear if i will be able to commute and maintain a room just in case i want to stay the night. The barracks down here are sick for lat movers, hotel like and right on the pensacola bay/gulf of mexico.

whats new your way?

I don't do many track days either. The full length just feels more comfortable to me. Preference is what it comes down to...

Alpinestars SMX boots are excellent and not terrible to walk around in.

if your looking for a casual riding boot go with the Sidi Doha or Dainese makes a really nice one too. i use the Sidi Doha and you cannot beat them. Full protection with a normal casula look and comfortable to walk in.

Gearne. I bought the pair SubSailor had for sale a while ago. Don't know the style. I can't believe how imaculate they were. Thanks SubSailor.
I've given them several good rides now and gotta say, probably the best boot out there in its class. imo. excelent construction, easy to get on and off rear entry, just downright comfy for the feet.
And for what its worth, they fit my Harris rearsets better than any other boot or shoe I've ridden in. Makes it easier to nail shifting.
