Is 2000 VIN 00001 Worth Anything?

...Or at this point is it just another RC51. I bought it new and have owned it ever since. It's been out of the garage three times in the last five years and I have decided it is time to look at selling it. My question is..... does the VIN add any value? As the experts, I am looking for you guys to let me know what the value of the thing is. It is not all original. It has Akra titanium pipes, power commander, tail kit, rev limiter kit, rear spool one or two teeth larger (cant remember), digi gear indicator ...all the standard stuff we did back then. Very good shape, less than 5k miles. Is it just a "blue book" value 14 year old RC51 or worth a couple bucks more? thanks guys.....

5k hard miles brother.... hard miles. Also, I always have a couple bikes in the garage.

Trades are tempting but the reality is... I have to thin out the herd.

There are three #0001 serial #'s for North America. Add the other jurisdictions and I'd guess at least another three. That doesn't help.

Some of the added value is taken away by the mods. That bike will be worth the most when stock.

It's really hard to tell how much value it adds. All you need is the right buyer. You can always try high and see how it goes.

Very cool.
If you can find someone who is a collector and not just after a "new bike" they may be willing to pay more.
And your mods (listed) are that hard to reverse.

Mmmm, just a guess, but initially I was thinking maybe you could ask $10k and see how it goes. If in great shape. With the right buyer you never know, it could go even higher. I'd be surprised if it went for $15k, but I've been surprised before

But it may only sell for $6k too.

Ever consider an auction with reserve? Ebay? Some nice bikes sell there. That way the market determines the price.

There are some older low vin # discussion threads here you can search for (use google for the site search too). They may have some good info and details. I seem to remember some other early vin examples did't sell very high, but check.
