Just bought a set today. I was sliding by my bike in the tight shed and caught my belt loop on the "Frankenstein Bolt"....almost took the bike right off the stands and onto me. Luckily nothing happened. Anyone know WHY they have those bolts like that? At first i thought it was for a hard bag setup, but that didn't make sense for a super-bike that has a piece of Styrofoam for a seat. then i thought it might be so they can lift the rear end with some straps to get to the swing arm easier (quicker swap outs). anyone have the real answer

Just replace the frankenstein bolts with a pair of the front ones.
It's what I did. No problems at all.
They're also the same as the front upper cowl bolt.

i never even thought of trying that sub... i even have two of them laying around. guess in know what im doing tonite... as far as why they are there, everyone i talked to said its for the elastic bag mesh to put a sweatshirt under or something... with the stock pipes i can see having enough hook points to do that... idk about lifting the whole bike by them id be freaking out
