Mod Qs

I have an RC51 buddy who just purchased a used RC51 and asked me questions about mods to his awesome bike. I would like to short answer his questions, but I don't want to mislead him.

Anyway, how would you know if the following mods have been done:

1. Soft rev limiter;
2. How do you tell if bike has 520? He has a 15/41 sprock set; and
3. PAIR mod?

Any info is appreciated.

1. The ECU has a jumper from pin B2 to A15 added.
2. Measure the width of the roller (not the side plates) on the chain.
Chains are measure in increments of 1/8th", both length and width. A 520 chain has links that are 5 x 1/8" (5/8", .625") center to center, and roller width of 2 x 1/8" (1/4", 0.25") width.
3. Lift the the tank and check if the fitting on the valve cover(s) are missing the hose(s) to the PAIR valves. Some remove the hoses and fill the openings with JB weld, or install block off plates.

my guess is that I have a speedo healer... now how do I tell I have one of these...where are they located?

Look for a small electronics module probably zip-tied to the subframe.
It interconnects between the speed sensor connector and the wiring harness.
The speed sensor is located at the right rear of the upper engine case the the mating surface, and the cable connects to the harness at the front right area of the subframe.
Follow the cable from the sensor and you should find the speedo-healer (or similar module).

well been going through my bike and just looking for everything that the previous owner added...

well now it looks like I have a 530 chain and either 525 rear sprocket or 520. I think 525 cause when I measure it, it is at 0.28" not 0.34" like a 530.

so looks like ill have to just get a new chain and sprockets.

where is the best place and price to buy a DID ERV3 520 chain and sprockets...looking for 15T front and 41T rear..

thanks all
