Well when someone tries to start my 2000 with the kill switch on it tries doesnt happen of course, but when i flip the switch and it should start it acts like the battery is dead and i have to jump it to start but anytime i don't forget the switch it's fine. battery should be fairly new but will a new one change this? With the engine stop switch in the run position, the fuel pump primes and the engine cranks and runs.
The engine should crank the same regardless of the stop switch position.
In your case it doesn't?

it seemed to work, maybe the battery is going idk. But when some idiot tries to start my bike and leaves the run switch off it tries to start but wont of course, and for some reason kills the battery enough for it not to start when i try and take over and flip the switch. Weird.
