Exhaust Canister Clearance

I recently noticed that the right side stock exhaust canister on my '05 is much closer to the swing arm and stock fender/license mount than the left side exhaust canister is. Is this normal, or was the bike possibly laid down previously? I didn't notice when I purchased back in June. Thanks in advance

Exhaust canister clearance

My left side exhaust canister was rubbing on my swingarm. I know its never been down. I have a 1/2 inch spacer where it bolts to the passe nger peg bracket. I dont know why its like this.

I think the left pipe is supposed to be closer to the swingarm because it's the left side that has to be wider to allow for the chain/rear cog etc. I just put some new pipes on my bike and the left is certainly closer than the right. Never paid any attention when the OEM pipes were on though.

My Erion system did the same thing. Maybe try to use a 3/4" spacer (washers temporary) to check the fit.
