Wow, this has been talked to death. Use the search and you'll find more than you can possibly read.
In a nutshell, they are different.
If you tell me what you want to do, I can give you specific info. I'm pretty familiar with this.
But try the search first.

Because of the swingarm differences, the SP2 exhaust routes a bit differently than the SP1 exhaust.
The SP2 exhaust has to extend a bit outward to clear the swingarm.
Since I have an SP2, I haven't gotten too involved with the exhaust fitment issues.
I believe the SP2 exhaust will fit an SP1, but not the other way.
However, those who have gone through this may chime in.

Chime.
I went a little loco on my conversion, but I did do it, and it came out nice.
I believe the complete sp2 header will fit. I've read many testiments to that. I combined my sp1 with a sp2. I decided to take that route after doing a lot of research on the subject. It's a bit of a dark hole if one gets caught up in all that's been written about it. but heres my two picks for good info--
the first one is pretty informative about the exact differences betweeen the two. Enjoy!!!!
